Maserati alternatives?

Hi car enthusiasts. I have a BMW 3 series that I love but it is nearly dead. I'm looking at replacements that won't break the bank. Love the look and sound of the Maserati Ghibli but read mainly terrible things. £15k price point for low mileage in the UK so I thought could be an option, but I've been put off by the potential reliability issues. Not much cash to play with but anything similar worth getting or shall I sell a kidney for a granturismo?
